Dear Friends We are extremely sorry to inform you that the indiscriminate Israeli bombing of buildings by drone and aircraft over the last few months, coupled with the Israeli Army threat yesterday to civilians to move out of Beirut southern suburb, cities and villages in south Lebanon , has set panic among families, especially those with young children. Hundreds of thousands of people have moved out of southern Lebanon into Beirut and other areas north. The Government has an overwhelming task of trying to house them in schools and elsewhere and to provide for those in need. The situation is very dire with no foreseen end in the coming weeks. Holding the YM in April is now impossible. In addition, the embassies of many countries have strongly advised their citizens against travel to Lebanon, and almost all airlines have cancelled flights to Lebanon. It is with sorrow and regret that the situation deteriorated so suddenly leaving us with no choice but to cancel the April MEYM.
